How rude is that?


Due to a change in personal circumstances, I had to ring the Tax Credits helpline today.

I followed the usual push 1 for this, push 2 for that process until I got to the option required. I was then told that if I wait a moment I would be put through to an advisor.

The message then said ‘our advisors are very busy at the moment, perhaps you would like try later… try our website for more information’ and then “thanks for calling, good bye”, not an option for continuing to hold.

The phone went to continuous tone and then nothing… THEY CUT ME OFF!!!!

(I had to retry FOUR times before being put through and then I got the inane music and was put on hold for ages… but at least I wasn’t cut off!!!)
