After my rant yesterday I had the feeling that the Brown/Blair setup reminded me of something…
Do you remember the film Trading Places?
In the film two stock-broker partners have a $1 bet they can take someone of the street and by giving them money make them successful.
I am not in anyway suggesting that Blair/Brown passed money or had side bets. The analogy for me is two colleagues deciding the future, changing lives with an agreement made between them (allegedly).
In the film the affected persons discovered the scam and took retribution on the pair.
Now that The New Labour project is supposedly over, it is time for new politics to try and recover the public’s trust. Not just in Labour but in UK politics as a whole.
